The world is changing. Fast. And for society to succeed, we believe it is more important than ever that we nurture empathetic, collaborative and resilient young people, who have the skills to identify and respond to important challenges in the world around them.
The World Economic Forum estimates that 65% of children entering primary school today will end up working in new job titles that don’t yet exist.
That’s why we are proud to announce that Polar Insight has joined Moo, ustwo, Lloyds Banking Group and Marvel in supporting Design Club, a UK based social enterprise that teaches young people the skills and design thinking they need to prepare for the future of work.
Winners of our very first Propel prize, Design Club brings together designers and professional trainers to create captivating after school programmes, methods and materials that inform younger audiences about design thinking.
Launched in 2017, Design Club’s workshops guide children through their own design challenges and teach them the principles of design to create projects such as designing a solution for someone they know. Not only do the young people respond well to the hands-on approach of designing for social issues, but they learn valuable life skills.
We’re excited to follow their progress and wish them every success in 2019.
What is a Propel prize?
